Find me a metaphor for a wasted life a road wrongly taken a sky never explored. Hopes and wishes made on stars that do not fall. Was there never an opportunity? Was I the wrong shaped key in the right shaped hole? What is the reason my life has played out to an empty alley behind a packed theater? Did I not try hard enough? Was I always going to fail? If I was the religion then there never was a god.
Once again you managed to capture a thought, a cauldron of emotions and locked it up tightly with a single declaration “if I was the religion then there never was a god”! Wonderful! I can already see that line tattooed on the chests of countless searching or forgotten souls

Heh. My husband keeps telling me that some of my poetry would make great T-Shirts. 🙂
